Do you Know your Facebook Groups ?

Facebook began rolling out to users a new groups feature. So what does that mean for users?

Speaking to reporters at Facebook’s Palo Alto headquarters, Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the impetus for groups was to make communicating with your friends on Facebook more like talking with them in the real world.

We don’t say the same things to buddies at a bar as we do to our boss at work, or to our grandparents at Thanksgiving – so why should Facebook treat them all the same?

Facebook has previously given users some ability to target communication to specific friends by sorting them into lists. But that process wasn’t very fun, and only about 5% of users ever bothered to do it, Zuckerberg said.

The company also looked at finding some kind of algorithm to automatically sort our friends into groups based on how we tend to interact with them on Facebook. But Zuckerberg said no algorithm is perfect, and getting something like this wrong could have serious social consequences.

Top 7 Blogging Softwares of 2011.

Want to Begin Blogging Immediately ?

The words “blog” and “blogging” have become so overused and belabored that a lot of people misunderstand what a blog actually is anymore.

A blog is a kind of website – (for the purposes of these reviews) one that is maintained by an individual. It’s not an article. It’s not a static HTML page (though these can be incorporated into a blog). It’s a log of web pages: a web log = a blog. Anyone can have one for any reason they want: personal, professional, job hunting, family chronicle, marketing, book clubs, celebrity gossip, tech news, online diary, fashion do’s, fashion don’ts, dream journal, music, art, recipes, travel – anything you want.

Below are the top 7 blogging services which you can choose from and start BLOGGING:

Rank -1 Wordpress :

This hosted version contains much of the same features and functionality without the added difficulty of being your own web developer and host.

The design tools offered at the free level include access to many templates (blog designs), sidebar customization using widgets and some of the themes even let you upload your own photo to customize your banner

Tracking and publishing tools are mostly integrated into the program – the stats are certainly integrated and offer a real-time look at all the activity and traffic happening to your blog.
The hosting has several different paid levels that increase your blog’s functionality. Upgrades include custom CSS, unlimited private users, 5 GB, 10 GB and 15 GB space upgrades, no ads and video embedding capability.

Rank -2 Typepad :

TypePad by Six Apart is a beautifully thorough proprietary blog software program with hosting included or you can pay for more storage and bandwidth. It costs fewer than $5 per month for a basic membership. TypePad’s advanced tools and features include stats, word banning, text file uploads, static pages.

Free PDF Editors, for editing PDF documents.

Most commonly used application for reading PDF files is the Adobe Reader, but it cannot be used to edit PDF files the way Word files can be. When it comes to free PDF editing tools they are hard to come by, and are mainly limited to free trials of non-free applications. There are a few options you can try, however, which may or may not serve you well depending on your needs.

Free Full PDF Editors

If you need full PDF editing capabilities as opposed to annotation the choice of completely free tools is rather limited, but there are a few options you can try which might very well work for you.

Free PDF Editors

  • LibreOffice Draw

LibreOffice Draw, which is a part of a Free Open Source LibreOffice suite (a fork of OpenOffice.org), has a native full PDF editing capability. It supports simply opening a PDF file and editing both the text and graphics, and it exports hybrid PDF files which can be edited again natively in LibreOffice, but should otherwise act as normal PDF files.

It is not perfect though, and some PDF files don’t display correctly with images sometimes being out of place and text being displayed incorrectly when the font used is not installed on the system and available to LibreOffice. Regardless of these quirks this might be the best free and full PDF editing option.
